WELCOME TO YSGOL ANTUR CWM
Ysgol Antur Cwm is an independent school for boys aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

We believe education should be transformative — not just academic, but personal, practical, and therapeutic. That’s why we offer a bespoke curriculum that blends classroom learning with outdoor education, vocational training, and wellbeing support.

Our learners build confidence, resilience and purpose through real-world experiences including orienteering, construction, bike mechanics, and community service — all personalised to meet individual needs and goals.

At Ysgol Antur Cwm, every young person is seen, supported, and empowered to move forward with strength.

Our Vision
To inspire and empower young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges to thrive through meaningful education, connection with nature, and personal growth.”
Ysgol Antur Cwm provides a nurturing and dynamic learning environment rooted in nature and vocational exploration. We believe that every young person deserves a pathway to success, regardless of past experiences or challenges.
We prepare our learners not just for exams, but for life — with resilience, self-belief and practical skills.
Our Core Values
At Ysgol Antur Cwm, everything we do is rooted in four core values. These values shape our curriculum, guide our relationships, and define the kind of young people we are proud to nurture.

We believe that pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or ADHD deserve more than just support — they deserve opportunities to grow into ambitious, creative, confident and ethical young people, ready for life.

Our four core values are:
Fostering Ambitious, Capable Learners
We value each learner’s individuality, their voice, strengths, and starting point.
Rather than teaching to the “average,” we design learning experiences around the actual person in front of us.
Whether it’s functional skills, CREST awards or vocational training, we support progress at every level, building ambition through real, achievable goals and celebrating success.
Individuality matters here. We meet the learner, not the label.
Cultivating Enterprising, Creative Contributors
Our pupils learn by doing. From bike mechanics to enterprise challenges and creative projects, we provide hands-on ways for learners to express themselves and make meaningful contributions.

We link learning to the real world, where effort has purpose and creativity is encouraged.

We believe in the power of challenge. Not as a test, but as a tool for growth. Whether climbing a mountain or solving a tough social problem, every step beyond the comfort zone is a win.

Growth happens through challenge, with safety, support and trust.
Developing Healthy, Confident Individuals
We place wellbeing at the centre of everything we do. With small groups, relational practice, and embedded therapeutic support, learners feel safe, seen and supported.
Mental health isn’t an add-on — it’s the foundation of learning.

We foster confidence not through pressure, but through consistency, belonging, and celebrating identity. Our learners are supported to manage their emotions, build healthy habits, and take pride in their progress.

Purpose and belonging are built into our culture, and it shows.
Building Ethical, Informed Citizens
Our pupils are not just learners, they are future contributors to society. Through community projects, volunteering, open discussions, and real-life decision-making, we develop thoughtful, respectful young people who know their value.

We model honesty, fairness and empathy; and expect the same in return.

We encourage pupils to explore social issues, speak with respect, and act with integrity; not because they’re told to, but because they’ve learned why it matters.
